About Us
Sent Out Community Church is proud to be part of The Wesleyan Church. Below you will find information on what we believe, what a Wesleyan is, and our leadership.

What Do We Believe?
Wesleyans believe in one God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life. We believe that those who are made new in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit. We believe in the Bible and its sufficiency to establish our faith and conduct. We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and be made new in Christ. We believe that the purpose of the Church is to worship God in spirit and in truth, and to reach a lost and fallen world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.

Leadership
Pastor Dana Beland was born in Massachusetts in 1970. He lived a good portion of his adolescence in New Jersey. At twenty-three, he moved to southwest Virginia where he met his wife, Melanie. They were married in 1998 and went to Kentucky Mountain Bible College as newlyweds. Dana graduated with a Ministerial degree with an emphasis on Biblical Languages in 2002. In 2004, he was ordained as a minister in The Wesleyan Church and sensed God leading him into full-time pastoral ministry at Elizabethtown, KY where he served as pastor of Trinity Wesleyan Church for seven years. In July 2012, God called the Beland family to serve in the Lennon area. Since their arrival, Pastor Dana has fallen in love with the community surrounding the Village of Lennon and has developed a great passion to share God’s love with them. Dana and Melanie have four children and one son-in-law. In 2017, Pastor Dana graduated from Wesley Seminary with a Master of Divinity. Questions for Pastor Dana? Email him here.
